Coros Pace 3
Best Coros watch to date
This is my Coros (https://www.coros.com) Pace 3. It is the third Coros watch I have owned including the original Apex 46mm and Pace 2 and it is by far the best Coros watch I have owned. Here is why:
The display is as good as any Garmin I have owned. It is clear, the fonts are crisp and the touch screen works amazingly well.
It is light, and very comfortable to wear.
The updated processor makes the user interface a joy to use.
The haptic feedback motor is high quality. It does not buzz like the Suunto 9 Peak Pro.
GPS acquisition is very fast even under less than ideal conditions.
Rotating crown does not feel cheap. It has good tactile feedback.
Coros app and website have significantly improved since I used them several years ago.
Heart rate sensor seems to be better than average.
Ideas for improvement:
Battery life is good but not great. It would be nice if Coros improved the battery life by at least 50%. I am getting about 7-8 days of battery life with 1.5 hrs of GPS workouts per day.
“Do not disturb” mode while sleeping does not work well. This is annoying to say the least. This problem has existed since the original Apex models. It would be nice if Coros added a shortcut for sleep mode instead of leaving it to the settings in the App.
Price. At 229, this watch is at the upper end of what I would consider paying for it. Priced at 199, Pace 3 would be much more competitive.
The Pace 3 is my new daily driver. After wearing the Fenix 6x Pro Solar Titanium, it is nice to have a watch that weighs around 30 grams. I can hardly feel I am wearing it.
